A shot in the dark...

I use Lotus Notes for my corporation and a client I support.

Working Computer (multiple)
- Windows XP (SP3)
- Lotus Notes 8.5.2 (1 install)
- 2 icons on my desktop and using nlnotes.exe (therefore I'm in Basic mode), 2 notes.ini files and two seperate data directories I can run two notes clients
- one for my employeer and one for the company I support.
- When I'm on either companies' network I can access the other companies Lotus notes mail without any problem.

- - - - - - - -

If I set-up things up exactly the same on a Windows 7 machine.

- If I'm on my employeers network I can open my LN and mail no problem.
- If I then start the second Notes instant and open the clients database, they are fine UNTIL I open my LN mail on the clients side. Then it never comes back and says not responding.

- Alternatively I can connect to the clients network.
- Then I can open my client's LN mail and databases no problem.
- If I then open up my employeers LN databases, all is good. But like above if I open my LN mail for my employeer ... Again I go into a not responding mode.

The odd part seems to be specifically to my shortname.nsf I can do an Open and connect to the server fine. I can open other dataabases on that mail server (addressbook) and it's OK. It's only when I go in and open MY mail across domains that things hang.

Anyone got an idea? What is it about Windows 7 that would cause this problem? Is there a port that LN Mail uses that may need to opened??

It's only when I go from one corporate network to the opposites LN mail that it hangs. It's not unique to me, I have several co-workers who have the same problem.

THe problem goes away if we reimage the machine to Windows XP vs 7?
